Cron jobs
Cron jobs run commands on a schedule as your own user, from your home
directory. Manage them on the Cron page (up to 20 jobs);
crontab -e over SSH is disabled so that the panel stays the
single source of truth.
Adding a job
A job has a schedule (five standard cron fields), a command, an optional comment, and can be disabled without deleting it.
minute hour day-of-month month day-of-week
*/15 * * * * every 15 minutes
0 3 * * * daily at 03:00
30 2 * * 1 Mondays at 02:30
0,20,40 * * * * three times an hour
The minute field must be spaced at least 5 minutes
apart: */5 or larger steps, a single value, or a list of
values that are 5 or more apart. * and ranges in the minute
field are rejected. The other fields accept the full standard
syntax.
Commands are a single line of at most 1024 bytes. Examples:
/usr/bin/php /home/acme/public_html/cron.php
/usr/bin/php /home/acme/public_html/wp-cron.php >/dev/null 2>&1
/usr/bin/curl -s https://example.com/tasks/run
Use absolute paths for programs and files; php resolves
to the server's default CLI version (/usr/bin/php8.3
selects a specific one).
Output
By default output is discarded (MAILTO=""). Set
MAILTO on the Cron page to one of your own mailboxes to
receive each job's output by email. Redirect output to a file
(>> /home/acme/cron.log 2>&1) if you
prefer.
Jobs stop running while the account is suspended and resume afterwards.
